- Get Forklift certified and training on stock moving equipment.
- Review customer orders and select stock in the warehouse, and strategically place items in delivery bays accounting to the delivery route.
- Operate forklift, cherry picker and electric pallet jacks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and perform all job responsibilities with a strong emphasis on safety.
- Serve as a backup driver for customer deliveries when needed.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Assist drivers and staff from other departments when possible.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds waist high on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds with team lift on an occasional basis.
- Basic math, understanding of measuring systems, and basic reading and writing skills.
- Professional conduct while interacting with vendors, other company employees, and customers.
- Be adaptable to changes such as routes or schedules.
- Customer service orientation; good public relations skills.
- Read and follow the GPS or road map.
- Can work without direct supervision.
- Having warehouse knowledge preferred.
- Meet company and regulatory driving record requirements.
- Move stock using a hand truck or electric pallet jack.
- Warehouse, customer location and truck cab environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds waist high on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds with team lift on an occasional basis.
- Subject to seasonal weather and local traffic conditions.
- Overtime may be available.
