Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with team members and client agencies to address service and incident tickets, ensuring swift resolution.
- Develop scripts and workflows aimed at automating administrative tasks, leveraging your skills in Python and other relevant scripting languages to support various projects.
- Communicate project time estimates and resource needs clearly while creating comprehensive training materials and documentation for end-users.
- Oversee the entire development and maintenance life cycle for assigned applications and scripts under general guidance, conducting research on system enhancements and performing application design analysis.
- Design, code, test, and document applications and scripts, providing production support for both straightforward and complex applications to resolve issues promptly.
- If applicable, mentor junior team members and guide smaller projects or components of larger initiatives.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication is essential.
- Strong organizational abilities along with effective planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- A proactive mindset towards learning and adapting to new technologies.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Geography/GIS, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered on a year-for-year basis.
- At least one year of experience working with scripting languages, APIs, and modules including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Pandas, ArcPy, ArcGIS API, PowerShell, and REST APIs.
- One year of experience with Microsoft SQL Enterprise Databases (v2016+) and/or PostgreSQL databases.
- Minimum of two years of scripting experience using Python.
- Demonstrated experience in developing policies and workflows for collaborative environments, alongside creating training and documentation for end users.
