What You'll Do

  • Keep abreast of general economic conditions and industry trends and is well-informed about competitive rates, terms, products, and services.
  • Ensure a strong community presence and established relationships with Realtors and Developers in Dupaco’s charter areas are key to expanding market reach and driving sustainable growth.
  • In partnership with the SVP Consumer & Mortgage Loans, lead efforts to identify and understand member research to gain insights and deepen understanding of member needs and partner with Member Experience teams. Partner with key stakeholders to develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap to build competitive, profitable products that help our targeted segments and is aligned with Dupaco’s strategy.
  • Collaborate with auditors (Internal Audit, Audit Committee, State and Federal examiners, and others third party) and ensure any issues identified are addressed in an adequate and timely manner.
  • Responsible for the oversight of vendor partner relationships that provide services that support a high level of member service and ability to meet regulatory requirements as well as Vendor Due Diligence.
  • Handle escalated member situations and review member complaints regarding problems with loan application or quality of service.
  • Participates in developing and making recommendations for improving effectiveness of policies and procedures for mortgage lending
  • Oversight of the sale of mortgage loans to investor organizations that are serviced according to credit union standards and regular reports are prepared for investor organizations which summarize the status of their account(s).
  • Participate in the development of training courses for employees on product knowledge and basic methods of referring.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, understanding the risk management and compliance requirements, and partnering with risk and compliance teams to manage the portfolio within the credit union’s risk profile.
  • Accountable for clearly defining roles, ensuring accountability, monitoring performance, identifying risks and roadblocks through change management, serving as a subject matter expert, and facilitating communication through process ownership.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in Mortgage Lending to include a thorough knowledge of leading a sales mortgage lending team, compliance and regulatory rules.
  • Strong analytical background to understand and connect skill set to create connection to various data points Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and drive strategic initiatives at the executive level.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong written and oral presentation skills, for both internal and external credit union communications and relations.
  • Must be able to prioritize while working on multiple projects at one time.
  • Must be motivated, self-starting individual with a focus on detail-oriented projects.
  • Demonstrate complex problem solving and strong decision-making skills.
