Position Overview

This position will be on-site at one of our branch locations. 


The IT Implementations Manager is responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and documentation of enterprise technology systems across the Bank. This position provides Tier 3 technical support for escalated service desk issues, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of critical IT services and infrastructure. The role requires hands-on expertise with a variety of enterprise technologies and direct interaction with IT vendors to support implementations, troubleshoot advanced issues, and optimize system performance. The IT Implementations Manager serves as a key escalation point for the Service Desk team and collaborates closely with infrastructure, network, and application teams to ensure technology solutions are reliable, secure, and efficient.


Primary Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Provide Tier 3 support for complex service desk issues, including advanced troubleshooting of servers, networks, core banking applications, and cloud services.
  • Lead and assist with implementation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise technologies, including:


- Microsoft 365/Entra ID (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)

- Active Directory & Group Policy (on-premises and hybrid)

- HyperV virtualization environments

- Azure services including cloud applications and security integrations

- Palo Alto firewalls, VPN configurations, and network security appliances

- Rubrik and UniTrends or similar enterprise backup and recovery solutions


  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Interface with IT vendors and service providers to manage contracts, coordinate service delivery, and escalate critical issues.
  • Participate in IT compliance activities, including preparation for internal/external audits and regulatory examinations (FDIC, FFIEC).
  • Support information security initiatives, including the implementation, configuration, and monitoring of SIEM tools, endpoint protection, multi-factor authentication, and vulnerability management platforms.
  • Assist in risk assessments, penetration testing coordination, and remediation efforts to maintain a strong security posture.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Service Desk staff to foster professional development and knowledge transfer.
  • Monitor system performance, perform proactive maintenance, and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to bank policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices for IT security and operational excellence.


Requirements

  • B. S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 
  • 3-5 years of IT (systems admin or help desk) experience 


Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Must be a highly organized, detail oriented and motivated self-starter
  • Excellent and well founded, written and oral communication skills are absolutely essential
  • Must demonstrate team-oriented mindset with ability to encourage and motivate co-workers
  • Must have had working experience in technical support of a Windows-based computer network
  • Proven track record of ability to install, patch and troubleshoot Windows software and banking programs.
  • Requires a demonstrated competency in technical problem solving with previous experience providing phone-based technical support
  • Support Director of Information Technology in day to day operations.
  • Keep Manager informed of daily activities


Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • User-facing technical support background a plus.
  • Experience supporting multi-tier applications with appropriate networking and systems
  • Experience gathering and analyzing application and system performance
  • Experience with automated software deployment technologies is preferred. (Intune, WSUS, GFI Network Security Scanner)
  • Experience with remote administration tools desired
  • Experience with Dell servers and workstations
  • Experience with Unitrends 
  • Experience with Axeda (Opteview)
  • Certifications (A+, Security +, MCP, MCTS, MCTIP, MCSE, MCSA)
  • Experience in Banking a plus
