PURPOSE AND ROLE :
The VP, Information Technology is responsible for providing vision, leadership, and strategic direction for the development and implementation of technology initiatives that align with the organization’s business goals. This executive role oversees all IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital innovation, with a clear mandate to reduce costs, improve service delivery to internal stakeholders, and unlock value through better use of data and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI).
This role is based in our corporate headquarters located in Indianapolis, IN and will be adhere to our hybrid schedule of three days in office a week.

PURPOSE AND ROLE :
The VP, Information Technology is responsible for providing vision, leadership, and strategic direction for the development and implementation of technology initiatives that align with the organization’s business goals. KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and lead execution of the company’s enterprise-wide IT strategy focused on efficiency, scalability, and value creation.
- Oversee SAP architecture, integration, and business process mapping. Support, optimize, and troubleshoot SAP modules across the enterprise.
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce IT costs while maintaining or improving service levels.
- Streamline and simplify enterprise systems to reduce complexity and enhance business agility.
- Improve core business processes through thoughtful application of technology and data.
- Oversee IT infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and data systems across the organization.
- Enhance business performance through improved data organization, reporting, and business intelligence tools.
- Partner with leadership to develop a practical, forward-looking point of view on how AI can best be utilized to support strategic goals.
- Ensure robust IT governance, risk management, and compliance.
- Lead and manage a high-performing IT team; attract, retain, and develop top technology talent.
- Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and capital investments.
- Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.
- Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to inform business strategy.
- Report regularly to the CEO and Board on the status of IT initiatives, service improvements, and strategic technology opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior executive role.
- Demonstrated success in reducing IT costs while improving reliability, speed, and business alignment.
- Deep experience with SAP enterprise systems, data architecture, business intelligence, and cybersecurity.
- Proven experience with SAP implementations, upgrades, and system migration.
- Proven ability to lead digital transformation, streamline complex environments, and guide AI exploration and adoption.
- Ability to plan and drive a multi year enterprise wide IT strategy.
- Strong communication, leadership, team and individual development skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, PMP, ITIL, TOGAF) are a plus.

- Business Acumen - Understand business operations, financial principles, and market dynamics. Communicate tech value to non-technical stakeholders. Prioritize IT investments based on ROI and business impact.
- Technical Expertise - Deep knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture. Understand emerging technologies (e.g., AI, cloud computing, data analytics). Ensure scalability, security, and reliability of systems.
- Change Management - Drive and manage organizational change through technology. Cultivate stakeholder buy-in for new systems and processes. Mitigate resistance and communicate effectively during transitions.
- Risk Management & Cybersecurity - Identify and mitigate IT-related risks. Implement robust cybersecurity strategies and compliance practices. Ensure data privacy and business continuity.
- Communication & Influence - Translate complex technical information for executive leadership and board members. Build strong relationships across departments and with external partners. Influence decision-making at the highest levels.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement - Foster a culture of innovation and agility within the IT function. Evaluate and implement tools that improve efficiency and competitive advantage. Promote experimentation and iterative improvement.
- Governance & Compliance - Ensure alignment with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. Oversee IT governance frameworks, audits, and data management policies.
- Customer-Centric Mindset - Prioritize user experience, both internal (employees) and external (customers). Align IT services with the needs of users and clients. Monitor satisfaction and continuously seek feedback for improvement.
