Position Summary

The Video Editor is an intermediate level role responsible for the development and execution of video communications designed to impact POWER’s customers, candidates, and employees. In this role, the Video Editor assists in the development of content ideas for the Brand Department through executing the post-production creative process, including file and project organization, collaboration with the creative team, compelling editing and implementation of feedback, technical and creative optimization, and delivery of final products. The Video Editor is a compelling storyteller with deep technical aptitude, and an understanding of POWER’s creative style and voice. This role is frequently assigned to high visibility and impactful projects.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Executes post-production responsibilities on all assigned projects on time and on budget.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally in the development of project goals, project scope, and creative approach.
  • Contributes towards the development of shot lists and production schedules.
  • Executes project setup, asset management, metadata tagging, edit, reviews, and revisions.
  • Attends and contributes to all planning and development meetings for assigned projects.
  • Communicates effectively with project teams throughout the creative development process to ensure project timelines and deliverables are being met.
  • Responsible for tracking working time spent on assigned projects for reporting purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Skills And Abilities

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must possess a high degree of technical proficiency when utilizing video editing tools and platforms.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing departmental tools and platforms, adhering to rigorous technical and procedural standards.
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and demonstrates an eagerness to learn.

Education And Experience

  • 4-7 years experience in post-production environment, with emphasis on creative storytelling
  • 4-7 years experience working in Adobe Creative Cloud, with emphasis on Premiere, After Effects, and Audition
  • Proficiency in audio mixing and color correction.
  • Experience working with a team-based media asset management system
  • Experience working with Project Management software

Work Environment

  • The Video Editor works in a hybrid office environment. Regular travel required.
