As the Vice President of Production Operations, you will be accountable for leading Operations Function in a challenging and fast paced growth environment with intense focus on scalability. You will develop strategic plans, provide leadership, and implement best practices to ensure operational excellence and efficiency. The successful candidate will exhibit strength in leadership, establishing a clear vision and effectively communicating it to motivate a diverse workforce.
SNC is a well-known large system integrator and aircraft modifier, which is expanding its charter to include high volume production in the air vehicle space. This unique landscape demands a leader who can confidently navigate both realms and lead the effort to build out new production facilities & teams while executing confidently within the core business. Guiding a team of established and developing leaders, your role will involve driving continuous process improvements, cost savings, and high-quality production outcomes, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards. You will work closely with Cross-Functional teams and Profit & Loss centers to steer production operations in manner which guides the enterprise to reliable product delivery in alignment with the company's mission, vision, and strategic goals.
The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement and utilize advanced production technologies and methodologies to maintain a competitive edge, including additive manufacturing and automation
- Monitor and adopt advanced manufacturing methods to enhance production capabilities and efficiencies
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning within the production teams
- Establish high-efficiency air vehicle manufacturing facilities to support scalable production
- Form and maintain robust strategic manufacturing partnerships to assure supply chain integrity and capability
- Develop and implement strategic plans for production operations to achieve operational excellence and support company growth
- Lead production teams in multiple states, ensuring high performance and adherence to best practices
- Oversee materials management, inventory control, and logistics to ensure timely and efficient production schedules
- Drive continuous process improvements and operational efficiencies to reduce costs and enhance productivity
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and company policies
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, quality, and other departments to align production operations with overall business objectives
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics for production operations
- Ensure customer satisfaction and product quality through rigorous quality control processes, performance management+ and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote and ensure employee safety by implementing and maintaining safety protocols and practices
- Develop the workforce with strong succession plans and well-prepared future leaders
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- 15+ years of experience in production operations management, with a significant portion in the Aerospace & Defense industry
- Significant experience leading effectively in a high-volume production settings will be a discriminator
- Strong knowledge of production/manufacturing principles, techniques, and best practices in the aerospace and defense sector
- Experience with materials management systems and advanced production technologies
- Proven leadership abilities, including change management, team building, and performance management
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly express concepts in verbal and written forms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Ability to navigate and manage complex projects and dynamic situations
- Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and financial management
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior executives
- Background in defense, aerospace, intelligence, or adjacent markets, with an understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in the aerospace and defense industry, including ITAR and AS9100
- Background working with the US Department of Defense (DoD), NASA, or other government entities
