Utility
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Utility Worker to join our team at our [INSERT UNIVERSITY NAME AND LOCATION] location. The Utility position is responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below.
Responsibilities
- Washes dishes or pans by hand or dish machine.
- Washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and equipment
- Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
- Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
- May unload grocery deliveries or transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Cleans equipment and facilities using specific chemicals ensuring safety & sanitary standards.
- Complies with all HACCP and safety policies and procedures.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a utility or maintenance role is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and practices
Requirements
Physical requirements:
- Continuous walking and other means of mobility up to 8 hours a day
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push/pull and frequently lift/move up to 30 pounds
