Key responsibilities
- System Management: Owning and maintaining the entire UPW system, including monitoring performance, analyzing trends, and ensuring safe operation.
- Project Execution: Planning and implementing engineering projects such as upgrades, retrofits, and expansions for UPW and wastewater treatment systems.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Responding to system interruptions, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), and applying problem-solving methods.
- Process Improvement: Researching, developing, and implementing technology upgrades to improve water quality, reliability, and safety.
- Quality Control: Ensuring the water meets specific quality parameters, which can include monitoring for contaminants like dissolved minerals, salts, organic compounds, and microorganisms.
- Capacity and Cost Management: Tracking system capacity, planning for future needs, and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
- Education: A degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Significant experience with ultrapure water systems in design, construction, commissioning, and/or operations, often with a focus on industrial or high-tech facilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of process technology, safety protocols, and relevant software like AutoCAD.
- Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for interacting with various teams and management.
- Project Management: Experience in facilities engineering, project management, and troubleshooting is often required.
