One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting pay for this role is targeted to be $19.50 per hour.
Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company. Description
Conducts variety of electronic and environmental tests on partsto ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine cause of unit failure by performing the following duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Reads testing schedules, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.
- Tests functional performance of parts under specified environmental conditions such as temperature change, pressure, and humidity.
- Verifies test instruments according to specifications.
- Connects unit to test equipment.
- Reads dials and digital displays that indicate electronic characteristics, such as temperature, humidity, voltage and current.
- Compares results with specifications and records test data or plots test results on graphs.
- Analyzes test results on defective units to determine cause of failure.
- Maintains manual or computerized records of production and inspection data.
- Handles ceramic materials and tooling up to 15 lb. of weight.
- Interacts and coordinates with Leads, Supervisors, Managers and Engineering regarding processes and activities within operations and cross-functional departments.
- Operates and fills in at any operation within production, as required to meet daily goals.
- Participates in Daily Management meetings, as needed.
- Assists with ensuring the department is meeting standards of safety, planned work & training goals.
- Follows all manufacturing procedures and perform any ad hoc duties as assigned.
- Reads work orders and processing charts to determine specifications.
- Will be required to demonstrate the ability to learn all jobs within several departments.
- Ability to read and analyze charts, work orders, or production schedules to determine production requirements.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, such as Oracle and Camstar.
- Job flexibility: this position requires you to be flexible for overtime and weekend work as required or the flexibility to work a different shift given notice by Supervision.
- Ability to remain calm in difficult or challenging situations.
- Ability to prioritize and reprioritize work to meet changes in production demands.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Mental and visual acuity necessary to perform duties.
- Effective coordination of manual dexterity.
- Effective concentration and coordination.

- All applicants must be eligible to work in the US without restriction to ITAR documentation and materials.
- Must be a US citizen, legal permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence in e-mails.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret line and bar graphs.
- Bilingual, English-Spanish is preferable.
- Ability to lift at least 15 lbs. frequently.
- Ability to stretch and work in siting and standing up positions.
