Under the direction of the Manager Support, Cage Operations, the Supervisor Cage Operations Technician is responsible for supervising and guiding the Cage Operations Technicians. Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the enterprise’s policies and applicable laws, while championing the goals and priorities of the Tribe in a manner that reflects and upholds the Tribal Community’s vision, mission, and values.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Makes hiring decisions and designs individual development plans with succession planning in mind for all key roles.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversees and coordinates the completion of electronic and mechanical repairs, responses to floor calls, and resolution of customer claims related to multi-function kiosks. Manages the rebuilding, repair, and replacement of hardware and software components for multi-function kiosks, ATMs, recyclers, and other Cage Operations equipment. Ensures timely repair of all electrical and mechanical components. Responsible for coordinating software updates with vendors and adjusting internal settings on multi-function kiosks as needed.
- Complies with Cage Operations internal controls, as well as enterprise and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for reading and generating reports related to Gaming Commission regulations. Ensures adherence to internal controls for multi-function kiosks, ATMs, recyclers, and follows established notification protocols for accessing ports and software. Investigates kiosk malfunctions and generates detailed reports. Summarizes investigation results and technical actions taken regarding overages or shortages caused by malfunctions. Maintains security and accountability of enterprise funds and all assets associated with multi-function kiosks, ATMs recyclers, and Cage Operations equipment.
- Coordinates with internal departments for the relocation, removal, and assist vendors with installation of multifunctional kiosks, ATMs, recyclers, and Cage Operations equipment. Monitors and maintain network connectivity for multifunctional kiosks, ATMs, and recyclers.
- Reports trends, problems, and concerns about technical and service issues. Oversees creation of proper documentation and preparation of parts for repair; identifies components and parts that require vendor repair. Maintains monthly inventory on parts and supplies.
- Coordinates training of Department team members on basic maintenance and operating instructions for multi-function kiosks, ATM machines, currency counters, recyclers, and other Cage Operations equipment. Prepares team member schedules for Cage Technicians. Approves days off, vacations, and personal days. Follows-up with paperwork to Management. Monitors overtime, excessive tardiness/absenteeism of the Cage Technician. Sends Technicians home early when justifiable, so as to offset overtime.
- Coordinates with vendors for maintenance of multi-function kiosks, ATMs, recyclers, and Cage Operations equipment. Operates all computer-related equipment as well as a ten-key adding machine.
- Prepares and conducts team member meetings. Schedules and conducts monthly one-on-one meetings with direct reports. Prepares annual performance evaluations and reviews. Approves and makes recommendations for assigned team member evaluations.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

Education, Experience And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Experience is considered in lieu of education)
- Minimum of one (1) year of career experience in Cage Operations, Kiosks, ATM, Slot Technician, or other related technical fields required.
- Minimum three (3) months of supervisory experience preferred.
- Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above- Minimum of Five (5) years of career experience in Cage Operations, Kiosks, ATM, Slot Technician, or other related technical fields required.
- Include knowledge (technical, industry, regulatory, product, organizational, scientific, field specific, etc.)
- Include soft, technical or behavioral skills (communication, technical, problem solving, interpersonal, customer service, analytical, organizational, field specific, etc.)
- Include abilities (critical thinking, attention to detail, leadership, time management, creativity, adaptability, field specific, et.c)
- Include demonstrated functional, technical or behavioral, leadership competencies (Decision making, collaboration, teamwork, results orientation, communication, building relationships, strategic planning, accountability, integrity, customer service, problem solving, field specific, etc.)
- At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
- No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver’s license or insurance.

- Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting.
- Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
- Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.
- Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.
- Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.
- Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
- Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
- The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
