We also specialize in envelope production and are seeking an experienced Technical Envelope Production Manager to lead our operations team and ensure efficiency, quality, and safety in our manufacturing processes.

The Role

The Technical Envelope Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production, quality control, and maintenance of envelope manufacturing operations. This role requires a strategic leader with deep industry knowledge, strong process management skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Specifically, it is primarily responsible for ensuring that all InfoSend locations are consistently supplied with the necessary envelopes to meet production needs, whether produced internally or sourced through outside vendors. Delivering high-quality products is a top priority. Continuous staff training is essential, covering safety protocols, quality standards, and productivity enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily envelope manufacturing operations, ensuring production goals are met
  • Set and implement production and quality goals as established by the Director
  • Assess department resources, capabilities and workload to determine feasibility of meeting internal or external needs
  • Lead, mentor, and train production staff to enhance performance and safety
  • Work with Envelope Adjusters/Tenders and Operators to execute and effectively communicate the production plan
  • Monitor production schedules, ensure timely delivery of orders, and address any issues that may arise
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges, including equipment issues and workflow bottlenecks
  • Work with the Director to foster teamwork within the department and cross departmentally within the company as a whole
  • Emphasize effective communication regarding the relationship between quality workmanship, customer service and customer satisfaction
  • Balance safety, quality, productivity, cost, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas
  • Ensure compliance with CalOSHA/OSHA, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies
  • Organize monthly Team meetings, and provide the agenda and notes
  • Manage a team of employees, including staffing, training, evaluating performance, and ensuring a safe work environment
  • Control costs by proactively controlling expenses and elimination of waste
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure they are communicated and implemented within the team
  • Maintain a professional relationship with suppliers and vendors
  • Responsible for professional and transparent administration, and reports/analysis to Management
  • Expand the possibilities of the ANH location for producing custom envelopes according to outsourced custom orders
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in envelope manufacturing or manufacturing management role, or related technical field
  • Strong understanding of envelope production machinery, materials, and processes preferred
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage conflicts, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process optimization
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying and resolving production challenges with innovative solutions
  • Knowledge of CalOSHA/OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered
  • Familiarity with production management tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross departmental collaboration
  • Highly skilled in Multitasking
  • Ability to perform calculations and performance prognoses
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Must be able to pass drug screen, E-Verify, and background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
