About This Opportunity

Life-Assist, Inc. is looking to enhance our current IT team with a Technical Business Analyst (TBA), who will work closely with other departments to clarify software development project requests and create reports to help the business make informed decisions. The role will act as liaison between the technical and business teams, helping stakeholders clearly define the problem they’re solving, while proposing solutions informed by our technical capabilities. On the reporting side, the TBA will surface data for the business through various reporting methods, including SQL Server Reporting Services and Power BI.

What will you do?

This position will be responsible for collaborating with other departments to define software projects and run reports to enable informed business decisions.

  • Work with department heads and other stakeholders to understand business needs and propose dashboards, reports or other solutions to raise visibility of important information
  • Analyze data trends and propose actionable recommendations
  • Identify opportunities for business process optimization and efficiency improvements
  • Synthesize data from a variety of sources and deliver to platforms where the information is needed
  • Create SQL Queries, stored procedures, functions, scheduled tasks and other database-related components as needed to support data presentation
  • Create, schedule, modify and run SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports
  • Design Power BI dashboards for the management team
  • Code in Dax (PowerBI) and SQL as needed

Who are you?

  • A bachelor’s degree in information systems, business administration with IT emphasis, data analytics or related fields is required
  • Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Associate, Power BI Data Analyst Associate
  • 5+ years working with as a data analyst, BI Analyst, report writer or related position
  • Experience with distribution businesses preferred
  • Strong MS-SQL knowledge required
  • A talent for helping non-technical stakeholders understand what is possible
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or other Power Platform Certificate preferred
  • Excel, Power BI and SSRS experience required
  • Salesforce experience and creating Power BI dashboards in Salesforce a plus
