ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator, to join our team in Columbia, MD. The team delivers enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce performing a wide range of missions in defense of our Nation. This effort is the contract vehicle for the Enterprise Infrastructure Services organization overseeing MPO’s Enterprise Information Technology (EIT). EIT is MPO’s backbone- platform for all Enterprise users. Data Center & Compute Services is the EIS enabling organization working with customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), and vendors to deliver select EIT.

Responsibilities Included But Are Not Limited To

  • Responsible for providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
  • Responsible for managing IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems, providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
  • Responsible for providing support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution. Will also provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Will provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
  • Responsible for configuring and managing Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and system software, troubleshooting, maintaining integrity of and configuring network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Will have a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Fifteen (15) years experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Clearance Requirements

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.

Physical Requirements

  • Bending, carrying, kneeling, lifting, light work up to 20 lbs., reaching, repetitive motions, sedentary work, walking, working with data, ability to handle stress & work under pressure, ability to use MS Office, ability to use a PC, analytical or critical thinking skills, interpersonal & people skills, leadership skills, listening skills, multi-tasking ability, oral & written communication skills, organizational skills.
