Job Description
Role Summary/Purpose:
The SVP, GM – Wellness, this role is responsible for strategy development and execution for the Wellness portfolio. Reporting to the SVP & GM, Specialty, this individual will develop annual plans for strategic pillars, growth objectives, and overall P&L management for their book of business. They will provide strategic oversight for current product offerings & expansion to their direct team, cross-functional teams and external Wellness market stakeholders.

Essential Responsibilities
The salary range for this position is 200,000.00 - 330,000.00 USD Annual. This position is also eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan target of 25% of salary and an Annual Equity target of 25% of salary.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and manage strategic action plans (i.e., growth pillars, P&L management) to achieve performance targets.
- Ability to identify, define and execute on business strategies that will outpace platform growth targets
- Navigate portfolio dynamics to develop, support and implement key business strategies.
- Own and drive overall portfolio financial performance as well as key growth metrics.
- Own and drive new product, features and capabilities for the client, and position Synchrony’s innovative brand.
- Pilot the expansion of new products and capabilities.
- Understand and deliver key metrics for the industry.
- Identify strategies through marketing, analytics, and other methods to drive growth goals.
- Deliver weekly and monthly portfolio and corporate reporting to executive leadership team and external stakeholders.
- Partner closely with the H&W field sales leadership team to drive growth.
- Assess field team performance against goals and take proactive action as needed.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationship with client groups and all key stakeholders.
- Represent Synchrony’s interests in negotiations with clients and provide oversight on client agreements.
- Work closely with client operations teams to develop/implement training initiatives as needed.
- Provide leadership to ensure adherence with all external and internal Compliance and Regulatory requirements.
- Develop and support all existing client incentives and integrate card performance.
- Assist in development of all performance targets.
- Manage weekly and monthly client and corporate reporting.
- Support business-wide initiatives as needed
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree or in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, a minimum of 12 years of equivalent work experience in the Financial Services field
- Minimum of 8 years of leadership experience in financial services or within industry
- Minimum of 5 years negotiation and contract management experience
- Deep understanding of SYF product, services and capabilities
- In-depth knowledge of how own function integrates within the business unit and of direct competitors (products/services).
- Demonstrated success leading a team with proven track record of delivering results
- Strong overall knowledge of card business including risk, collections, operations, marketing and finance
- Superior Financial Acumen
- Prioritization & resource alignment
- Broad and comprehensive understanding of theories and practices in a discipline.
- Skilled communicator who influences and negotiates with great latitude on outcomes.
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Experience working in the healthcare segment including wellness, retail markets, health systems
- Extensive experience partnering with emerging markets or in market expansion
- Strong marketing, creative and analytical skills
- Ability to influence senior corporate decision makers
- Ability to effectively interface and represent Synchrony at the most senior levels in the client organization
- Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
- eCommerce, and Payment Industry experience
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to innovate and find creative solutions to meeting business goals
- Proven ability to work independently yet as key member and contributor to a broader team

Eligibility Requirements
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
