Pediatric Home Service is a pediatric home health agency that has provided high-quality DME and nursing services to medically fragile children since 1990. Our services allow our clients to remain and thrive in their homes, schools, and communities. The majority of the clients we serve are age’s birth through 21 years old and have a variety of technologies that might include a trach, ventilator or g-tube.

- Position: Supporting Documentation Supervisor
- Location: San Antonio, TX
- Hours: Monday-Friday,(8a-5p)
- In office
Leadership & Oversight
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with assigned staff
- Coordinate and lead department meetings
- Oversee team schedules to ensure optimal coverage
- Maintain a positive, collaborative working environment across departments
- Follow up on Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives
- Conduct and develop department audits to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Identify and implement process enhancements
- Review and update departmental work instructions and policies regularly
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement training protocols
- Support EHR development, usage, and department-related PIG meetings
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EHR)
- Demonstrate ongoing competency and adhere to internal and external compliance standards
- Step in to assist with daily department tasks as needed
- Provide timely support for problematic requests and process challenges
- Maintain ongoing communication with supervisor to report department needs, concerns, and updates
- 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in a healthcare or DME setting, with proven ability to manage performance, coach team members, and maintain accountability
- Experience with Brightree or similar DME management systems is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of medical records workflows, order processing, and documentation protocols for respiratory, mobility, and enteral products
- Familiarity with EHR systems and documentation processes; experience participating in EHR optimization or training is a plus
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, CMS compliance, and durable medical equipment accreditation standards (e.g., ACHC, Joint Commission)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word), with experience analyzing reports and audit data to drive quality improvements
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines while maintaining process accuracy and customer service standards
