Who You Are
You'll perform as a team member within the Global Supply Chain - Procurement Engineer Staff
What You Will Be Doing
You'll.......
Coordinate with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, the Supply Base and Industry experts to facilitate the design, production, test and qualification of aerospace and defense products.
Analyze technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability.
Investigate and recommend potential suppliers based on assessments of response to specifications, costs, inspection of facilities, and historical performance.
Facilitate technical trade-offs and standardization that may lead to more economical procurement.
Recommend design changes to mitigate production issues. Lead teams of Supplier and Internal staff in collaboration to solve problems in Producibility, Quality, Inspection, Cost, Mistake-Proofing, Test, Reliability and Affordability.

This position is located at Lockheed Martin, 4800 Bradford Dr NW, Huntsville, AL
Domestic travel on an as needed basis to supplier facilities in the Southeastern US (up to 75% weekly)
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The ability to obtain a Secret clearance after hired will be required
