The Operations Supervisor has primary responsibility for overseeing a production line and constantly
managing multiple priorities throughout plant operations with the emphasis on product quality, on time delivery, production efficiency, industrial and food safety. Demonstrate team leadership through coaching, directing and training team members.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee efficiency of operational processes
- Research methods to improve operations and reduce costs
- Supervise and train employees
- Minimizes waste and cost and ensures conformance to safety and quality standards
- Ensure adherence to Company policies and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Keep track of group attendance on a daily basis; identifies non-conformance and makes corrections as necessary.
- Ensures productivity schedule timelines are met and adapts to changing schedules and work hours.
- Set the direction relative to manufacturing goals in order to meet production needs and expectations.
- Determine and communicate the direction relative to housekeeping and safety practices.
- Review the material position on all open work orders to ensure that all material is available to support build schedule and customer requirements.
- Monitor and limit overtime and report overtime use to Plant Manager.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Associate Degree or equivalent manufacturing experience or 3+ years of Production/Manufacturing and Supervisory experience
- Hands-on experience implementing operational processes.
- Knowledge of operational principles and policies.
- Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and train associates as well as plan, monitor and schedule work

- Ability to learn specialized software (NAV) related to departmental operations including shipping/tracking;
- Good communication skills
- Must be proficient in reading, speaking and writing in English for the purpose of record keeping, safety and quality training processes.
- Ability to multi-task between assignments and prioritize workload.
- Knowledge of operational principles and policies.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be detail oriented and maintain a clean/organized production area at all times.
- Must be a team player and self- motivated.
- Have or willing to obtain Confined Space/Recue Team training.
- Have or willing to obtain a Qualified Applicator License from Department of Pesticide Regulations
- Have or willing to obtain HACCP Certification
- Must be able to work on your feet for 8 hours a day including bending, reaching, climbing, etc.
- Must be willing to cross over in other departments or facilities as needed
