Position Overview
The Staff Accountant will primarily be responsible for ensuring accurate processing, recording, and reconciliation of the Company's transactions and will also be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information to Company management and reconciling various GL accounts. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to work and solve problems independently. The Staff Accountant will be a key contributor to the monthly close process, preparation of financial information for management, and support for audit and tax compliance. In addition, this role will have the opportunity to develop expertise in revenue accounting, supporting the Company’s revenue recognition processes under U.S. GAAP. The role will work closely with employees at all levels across the organization and proactively suggest ways to improve efficiency and processes.

Specific Roles & Responsibilities
- Records daily and monthly activity in the source systems ensuring all transactions are accurately captured and imported into the general ledger
- Performs general ledger account reconciliations as assigned such as bank reconciliations, prepaids, fixed assets, etc.
- Processes expense reports for employees and contractors
- Assists with monthly revenue recognition processes, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations of deferred revenue and review of contracts for proper treatment under ASC 606
- Prepares ancillary journal entries as needed
- Supports tax compliance including registrations and accurate, timely payments
- Develops and documents business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Assist with year-end audit activities, including PBC requests
- Ad-hoc projects as needed
- 2-3 years accounting or related discipline experience, preferably in corporate accounting
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- NetSuite experience is a plus
- Revenue accounting experience or interest in learning ASC 606 revenue recognition principles
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Knowledge of financial statements, reporting, and analysis
- Possess a keen eye for detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and vendors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- General curiosity and inquisitive nature
