Job Summary
The Staff Accountant performs accounting tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of Priority Power general ledger transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliation transactions. Assignments will include various basic general ledger journal entries, account reconciliations, completing monthly bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts, assisting with accounts payable activities, assisting with accounts receivable collection efforts, and researching customer invoice payments,.

Job Summary
The Staff Accountant performs accounting tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of Priority Power general ledger transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliation transactions. Assignments will include various basic general ledger journal entries, account reconciliations, completing monthly bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts, assisting with accounts payable activities, assisting with accounts receivable collection efforts, and researching customer invoice payments,.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare the monthly bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts within the general ledger module
- Prepare general journal entries for various accounting functions, including payroll, benefits, fixed assets depreciation and intangible assets amortizations, and others assigned for month-end close by the Accounting management team
- Assist with accounts receivable collection efforts – via phone calls, emails with customers
- Support A/R manager is researching customer payments in bank details or within the general ledger
- Support A/P Manager with research on vendor payments and coordinating cash transactions for the bank reconciliations
- Escalate issues as needed to A/P Lead, A/R Manager or Controller for resolution
- Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- High school diploma
- 3+ years in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Bank reconciliation processing roles and general ledger accounting
- Proven ability to work in a highly transactional (100-200 invoices per week), fast-moving environment
- Demonstrated capability to interact with multiple stakeholders (internal and external) while maintain strong, responsive customer service
- Comfort and aptitude to interact via multiple communication channels (i.e., phone, email, etc.)
- Organized with strong capability to manage time wisely
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or General Business
- 5+ years in Accountant role with high volume transactions
- GAAP knowledge and application
- Cloud ERP experience (NetSuite, Oracle, etc.)
- Applicable trainings and certifications
