- Own the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial close processes.
- Produce accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules.
- Support internal and external audits/reviews with comprehensive documentation and insights.
- Collaborate with the technology team to enhance financial systems, processes, and controls.
- Research technical accounting standards and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
- Lead initiatives to identify and address process improvements and operational efficiencies and deploy best practices.
- Experience: At least 3+ years in accounting (public, industry, or a mix).
- Experience with property investment accounting practices a huge plus
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
- Technical Skills: Proficient in US GAAP, Excel, Word, and QuickBooks Online; experience with other financial tools is a plus.
- Analytical thinker with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Energetic self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Adaptable and excited to learn new systems and tools.
