Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll be at the heart of client delivery - balancing core responsibilities like bookkeeping and tax return prep with the opportunity to support and grow into high-impact strategic tax planning work. This position is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond compliance work and into true tax advisory.

• Prepare individual and business tax returns (1040s, S-Corps, partnerships)
• Handle monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations using QuickBooks Online
• Assist with client deliverables such as year-end financials, tax planning worksheets, etc.
• Support team workflows and contribute to process improvements
• Collaborate with in-office team members to meet deadlines and delight clients
  
  

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Accuracy of tax return preparation and financial reporting.
• Timeliness of client communication and deliverables.
• Work submitted is review-ready with minimal back-and-forth required.
• Compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experienced with Quickbooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
• 2-4 years of small- to mid-sized firm experience preparing tax returns and performing full-cycle bookkeeping.
  
  

Additional Qualifications (Preferred)

• CPA or EA license (or actively pursuing) is a plus.
• 4-5 years of expeience and mastery in preparing tax returns for individuals and passthrough entities (1065, 1120S)
• Knowledge of higher-level accounting systems (ERP software, inventory tracking, multiple-entity consolidations, etc.)
  
  

Our Offer

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Orem, Utah. Compensation is competitive and based on experience. The expected salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000 annually.
