THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:
The Sr Manager, International Processes, Training & Operations will report to the Head of International and work cross-functionally to lead and support our international brand partners with best-in-class training and an end-to-end brand standards and operating manual, as well as serve as the subject matter expert and point person internally and externally to answer questions and guide on key processes.
This leader will be a strategic cross-functional partner responsible for owning, creating, updating and maintaining all prioritized procedures/process documentation. The Sr Manager willelevate and optimize processes as needed, including process step references, best practices, quick reference guides, and flow charts for end-to-end processes cross functionally that need to be shared to support international expansion efforts.
This individual will also lead the organization of all training upfront and ongoing to enable successful expansion efforts and ensure partners understand resources they have available as well as responsibilities. They will also serve as point person to provide ongoing process and operations support both internally and externally.
Finally, this leader will be expected to actively and effectively collaborate with the PMO team to improve our systems and processes, and adapt to the needs of our partners, as applicable.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and facilitate end-to-end processes’ documenting efforts (“Ulta Beauty in a Box”), elevated for international impact.
Partner with HR and our PMOs to support project delivery and improvement of ‘high impact’ training upfront
- Draft and finalize content for upcoming upfront (and ongoing) trainings
- Coordinate and support cross functional effort for upfront (and ongoing) training
- Gather feedback/learnings from each training delivered to improve over time
Lead effort to develop brand standards and operating manuals / sharepoint interface for partner reference
- Support delivery of information via manual and sharepoint
- Periodically refresh and maintain accuracy of manual
Establish clear processes for timely approvals and escalations
- Establish processes and related timing/formats/contact for approvals, in partnership with key functions
- Setup clear escalation mechanisms at global for efficiency
Serve as ‘Operating partner’ to our international partners to enable successful information delivery
- Point person for processes’ questions from our PMO or international teams
- Where to find key references within manual/sharepoint
- Reference of processes in the US
- Work to create process guidelines if such guidelines do not exist
- Support PMO work to ensure correct order of operations since the beginning
THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
- Bachelor’s degree required and MBA preferred
- 7-10 years relevant work experience
- Proven advanced level organizational skills with the analytical ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and prioritize effectively in a high-pressure environment with multiple stakeholders
- Ideal candidate would have strong working knowledge or prior direct experience creating end-to-end business processes, leading international operations, and working with multiple partners to ensure knowledge sharing; Understands and supports international "Best in Class" standards
- Ability to influence large cross-functional teams where you may not have direct reporting responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to navigate new, sometimes complex, challenges with a solution-first and collaborative mindset
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, reflecting an appropriate sense of urgency to all levels of management and with a collaborative management style
- Confidence in effectively leading internal and external teams to understand business operations and be able to elevate them to drive effective action
- Critical thinking and creative resolution are a must for this role
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills are a must for this role
