Summary
The Senior Director of Financial Operations is intended to assist the VP of Financial Operations in oversight of financial strategy, operations, and management of all Provider Services. The position is expected to assist the Regional Practice Directors, hospital Chief Financial Officers and Chief Executive Officers, and other Corporate PPS, PPSI, and HBP leadership with compliance with regulations and corporate policies and procedures, providing meaningful analysis and review of data to drive improved performance and growth, and any other areas needing assistance or direction on a daily basis.

Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for the completion of all financial reporting for the areas supported.
- Heavy involvement in the review and remediation of all Projections, Final Month-end numbers, and the Budget Process.
- Contact person for Regional leadership on questions relating to areas supported
- Financial Analysis and Insights to aid in decision-making and planning.
- Trending Reports
- Participation in Monthly Operating Review conference calls.
- Monitor and assist hospitals and clinics on Margin Improvement and Revenue Enhancement Plans.
- Responsible for clinic budget standard establishment and verification of input and appropriate relationships.
- Monitor key financial and operational metrics, trends, and performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement.
- Monitor staffing and productivity levels.
- Partner with operational and clinic leaders to optimize revenue cycle processes and reimbursement, while maintaining compliance with payer requirements and regulations.
- Periodic audits as deemed necessary.
- Service line analysis/facility evaluations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing finance team while ensuring completion of deadlines
- Support financial responsibilities and reporting for PPS, PPSI, HBP, and Specialty Services
- Foster collaboration across departments to achieve organizational goals.
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies in financial and practice operations.
- Manage Provider compensation contract management and payment system to drive compliance and accuracy.
- Education: Bachelors in Accounting/Finance required
- Experience:
- Minimum 7 years progressive finance experience in healthcare setting preferably in Provider Services or Hospital Finance
- Chief Financial Officer or equivalent Clinic/healthcare experience in a for-profit setting preferred
- Working knowledge of Essbase, Excel, Access
- Other Systems preferred (Athena, Cerner, Data View, Cognos, Oracle)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- In-depth knowledge of reimbursement, payer contracts and physician contracts preferred
- Language Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Certification / Licensure: None required
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Available
