SQL Developer

Job Description

Our client is hiring a skilled and experienced SQL Developer to join our dynamic team. This role requires a professional with full proficiency in T-SQL and a strong background in database development, including creating stored procedures, SSIS ETL packages, and comprehensive documentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new SSIS/SSRS packages to meet business needs and ensuring optimal performance of existing production systems. Responsibilities

• Create and maintain stored procedures, views, triggers, functions, T-SQL, indexes, and cursors, focusing on performance tuning and SQL profiler.
• Develop SSIS/SSRS packages to meet the evolving needs of the business.
• Conduct unit tests and develop automated tests for regression and unit testing.
• Collaborate with product owners and SMEs to scope opportunities, identify constraints, and help mitigate risks.
• Participate in the ongoing development and support of the existing production system, both technically and functionally.
• Provide technical mentoring to team members as needed and actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new Internet tools and applications for assigned responsibilities.
• Work independently, with the ability to receive a request from the business and translate that into a query/ad hoc report independently.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with extensive knowledge of Agile process development in .Net, MVS, and SQL.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL database including SSIS, with the ability to write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Experience in developing new SSIS/SSRS packages and optimizing existing ones.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document code and participate in project development methodology.
• 7 years of SQL development experience preferred, with a focus on stored procedures, SSIS ETL packages, and ETL development.
• Prior experience with Medicaid/Medicare is preferred but not required.
• Experience with System Analysis, SoftwareAG webMethods, InRules, SSRS, MS Team Foundation Server, and .Net is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
