The Opportunity

The Specialist Quality Assurance Engineer will analyze quality standards for components, materials or services. You will apply measures, sampling methods, testing methodology and other procedures that ensure that quality standards are met.

This position will be based out of our Abbott Diabetes Care in Alameda, CA and the individual will be expected to be onsite Monday-Friday.

What You’ll Work On

• Apply quality principles, analyzes quality records, prepares reports and recommends improvements.
• Conduct inspection, verification and validation of components or materials used in development processes.
• Identify and address recurring problems either with the quality of the product or the reliability of testing procedures.
• Document quality issues and performance measures for management review.
• May liaise with external vendors.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree and higher preferred with a minimum of 1+ yrs of experience in Medical device.
• Minimum Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 yrs of experience or equivalent education and work experience will be accepted.
• Experience with Agile systems, ALM - application lifecycle management, ETM - Engineering Test Management tool and M files required.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of 21 CFR a huge plus.
• Data protection strongly preferred

The base pay for this position is $79,500.00 – $138,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
