JT4 is seeking a Software Developer for their Edwards Air Force Base location in California.
Must be a US citizen.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Computer Scientist to support software and systems engineering efforts at Edwards AFB in California. This is an onsite position working with advanced aerospace systems, where the candidate will be a critical part of a collaborative team focused on Time-Space-Position Information (TSPI) systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in processing and displaying TSPI data and hands-on experience with airborne global positioning systems. This role involves modifying existing software baselines and developing new capabilities to meet evolving mission requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate regularly with customers to gather requirements and provide technical insights related to current and future TSPI data sets.
- Develop and maintain software in PowerShell, C++, and C# for TSPI data processing and display.
- Analyze complex technical challenges and determine optimal programming approaches to meet customer needs.
- Assist in software system architecture and design efforts, including producing design documentation.
- Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to development standards.
- Translate system/software designs into functional software solutions with appropriate implementation documentation.
- Plan, develop, and test software across all levels – unit, integration, and system – ensuring functionality and performance meet specifications.
- Support maintenance, troubleshooting, and ongoing sustainment of existing TSPI-related software systems.
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of 4 years of related experience or a master's degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of 2 years of experience or a PhD in an associated discipline.
- Proficient in C++, C#, or C.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Planning/organizational skills and the ability to work under deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with aerospace, defense, or flight test environments.
- Familiarity with real-time systems and data visualization tools.
- Demonstrated experience processing and displaying geospatial data in software applications.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control and continuous integration.
- Strong experience working with Time-Space-Position Information (TSPI) data, particularly in airborne/global positioning contexts.
Salary Range: $120,000 – $144,000 annually
