Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer who can seamlessly work across both front-end and back-end technologies focused on our digital portfolio within our Diagnostics & Genomics (D&G) business unit. This role requires someone who can architect, develop, and maintain complex web applications while demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft technologies and cloud infrastructure. Initial focus for the role will be on our Quality Control (QC) software portfolio of products that are used by our customers globally to manage QC data within laboratories. These products help manage system performance through rule-based evaluations, peer comparison and advanced reporting functions which allows laboratories to comply with quality standards such as ISO15189. These products represent a strategic growth area for LGC, and we see the evolution of our service offerings as key to our business objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise to the product development lifecycle, while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. The role will be part of the Innovation Hub within D&G and will liaise with Group IT teams as necessary such as Infrastructure, Security, and Quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using .NET technologies
  • Create and optimize database structures, stored procedures, and complex SQL queries
  • Implement responsive front-end interfaces that deliver exceptional user experiences
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs following industry best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Deploy and maintain applications in AWS environments
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in full stack development
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL Server with strong T-SQL programming skills
  • Proficiency in C# and ASP.NET (Framework and Core)
  • Extensive experience with MVC architectural pattern and .NET ecosystem
  • Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Working knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Good organisational qualities along with good presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing, including technical writing skills. Needs to be detail-oriented and process driven

As a remote position, the salary information will be provided based on the state's requirement of residence.
