Description
The Oklahoma City Thunder is looking for a creative individual with a passion for videography and photography to help produce high-quality content for the OKC Blue’s social media channels during the 2024-2025 NBA G League season. As a Social Content Associate, you’ll capture the energy and excitement of the team, creating engaging videos and photos for game nights, practices, and events.
This part-time, on-site role involves collaborating with various departments to produce content that showcases the team’s brand and drives social media engagement. As a leader in video views and fan interaction within the NBA G League, the OKC Blue is looking for someone to help take us to the next level. In this role you will:
The position is based at the Thunder corporate office located at the Paycom Center in downtown Oklahoma City. The work schedule will include 20-29 hours per week and may include evening and/or weekend hours, covering OKC Blue games and community events in Oklahoma City. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are needed as some local travel is required. Working environment will include both office and outside events that may include loud noise or music, flashing lights, and inclement weather. This is an on-site, part-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Manager, Social Media. Employees are encouraged to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

In this role you will:
- Help gather video/photo content at OKC Blue home games and other Blue-related functions for OKC Blue social media channels including Facebook, X, and Instagram
- Pitch and develop creative media ideas for OKC Blue content channels
- Help with pre- and post-production video and photo editing during OKC Blue game nights and other activations
- Archive and organize all footage gathered from OKC Blue game nights for internal and external content usage
- Work with social media team to deliver video or photo content for publishing across OKC Blue content channels
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Dependable and available to commit to OKC Blue home games
- Familiarity and experience with shooting photo and video on digital single-lens reflex cameras, with an emphasis on vertical content creation and editing for mobile platforms. Previous experience shooting sporting events is a plus
- Highly proficient in Adobe software including Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop and other related programs for video and photography editing
- A digital portfolio featuring video and photography work will be required upon job application submission
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Self-starter who also enjoys team environment collaboration
- Highly motivated, positive attitude, and ability to present yourself with professionalism
