POSITION OVERVIEW:The Shop Mechanic is responsible for in-house vehicle and equipment repairs, warehouse/yard organization and upkeep. They ensure a smooth and efficient operational flow of vehicles and equipment.RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform light repairs (breaks, filters, oil change, etc.) on company fleet and heavy equipment (backhoe, excavator, etc.) Track and perform routine maintenance on company fleet and equipment Maintain the cleanliness of warehouse, yard and building groundsPick up parts and equipment from suppliers & deliver parts as necessaryAbility to drive trucks and trailers to off-site locationsMobilize equipment and materials for scheduled jobsPerforms additional duties and responsibilities to help facilitate company operationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Experience:Operate forklift and heavy equipmentValid driver's license and clean driving recordAble to lift 50+ poundsGeneral computer skills and experiencePreferred QualificationsBasic tool and equipment knowledge, use and skillsStrong mechanical abilitiesAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentVerbal & written communication skillsAttention to detail and organizationG.E.
