Fat Fender Garage is seeking a professional to fill the role of shipping and receiving manager. The highly qualified candidate will play an integral role in building and engaging the company’s customer mission and will contribute to team effort to promote the long-term growth with Fat Fender Garage.

Why This Role Maters:

Shipping and receiving is an incredibly important role at Fat Fender Garage as nearly all items sold and purchased will go into this department’s hands. This position must be accurate and quick to ensure all shipments come in and out every day on time. The shipping manager will also be responsible for tracking of all returns and inventory

This Role is for You If:

You have strong written and verbal communication skills, thrive off working in a fast-paced environment and have a high level of attention to detail. Our ideal candidate has two (2) or more years of shipping and receiving experience and is self-motivated to complete tasks accurately and efficiently on a deadline with little supervision.

  • You have at least 2-3 years’ experience with shipping, receiving and/or stocking.
  • You have knowledge of a typical shipping and receiving process and an eagerness to improve and grow your existing knowledge.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • You love organization and keeping a clean workspace.
  • You’re comfortable with multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment.
  • You possess excellent time management skills.
  • You pay attention to details.
  • You are motivated and driven. You volunteer for new challenges without waiting to be asked. You have a demonstrated ability to problem solve and critical thinking skills.
  • You are competent and willing to learn programs like ShipStation, Shopify, Google Docs, QuickBooks etc.

What Your Day Might Look Like:

As a successful hire, you will use your knowledge to ensure incoming products and materials are properly received, products are prepared and shipped according to specifications and/or customer requirements and records are accurately maintained. The Shipping and Receiving Specialist has several responsibilities that are vital to the company’s success, and will

  • Oversee & direct shipping staff
  • Manage the packages and shipments of all orders daily.
  • Manage ShipStation daily to get orders out within 1 business day.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with warehouse team members, customer service/sales representatives, data and inventory teams and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
  • Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments in respective programs.
  • File shipping claims
  • Engage with coworkers, customers, vendors, and drivers with a positive attitude.
  • Complete international shipping documentation.
  • Weekly cleaning to keep a neat, and well stocked work area.
  • Promptly unload, sort, and stock receivables.
  • Assist with warranties and RMAs.
  • Provide additional backup support for warehouse department.
  • Receive large and small deliveries, including air shipments and container orders, some shipments may require use of the forklift.
  • Place supply orders as needed
  • Create / track PO’s and return credits


Hours And Benefits

This is an hourly full-time position working Monday-Thursday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with a 30minute lunch and Fridays 8:00am – 2:00pm at our shop in Gilbert, AZ.
