Shipper/Receiver

Job Summary

Responsible for the overall receipt and shipping of material prior to the Production floor which includes all material transactions, material movement, storage, and inventory - storage practices.

Job Responsibilities

• Sort, counts and checks raw materials, finished and semi-finished parts
• Handles raw materials in compliance with internal Electrostatic Discharge Policies and Procedures
• Receives all packages on time
• Responsible for inventory accuracy at receiving level. Maintains receiving data files
• Perform and collaborate with any invoice correction activity
• Understanding of aerospace components
• Understands and can research and reconcile Inventory
• Stores electronic components properly and has an understanding of MSD components
• Validates previous transactions for discrepancies and ensures internal specifications are met and traceability requirements are 100% accurate
• Ensures receiving and shipping transactions are in compliance of Standards and internal documentation
• Regular attendance is required
• May be required to work overtime
  
  

Required Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required
• Typically requires a minimum of 1 year of experience
• Basic reading and writing (English language) and math ability are required
• Computer literate
• Microsoft Excel skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong background in shipping/receiving
• Inventory reconciliation experience
• Interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff
• Support stockroom/QA operations to ensure smooth flow process
• Perform multiple tasks within the shipping and receiving area
  
  

"Full-Time Equivalent Annual Salary Range: $37,300 - $74,600 for a Level I at Torrance CA USA. The disclosed salary range is a general guideline for Mercury team members employed at the job level location listed above and does not include overtime for eligible hourly employees."
