Description

Position Overview

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Technology is a newly created leadership role responsible for leading the Company’s IT strategy and operations, driving innovation, and optimizing the firm's technology ecosystem. This position will focus on supporting the Company’s growth plans with a scalable, secure technology foundation. The SVP of Technology will oversee all aspects of technology, cybersecurity, data management, and digital transformation. This leader will align IT initiatives with business objectives, enhance infrastructure, and ensure scalable, secure, and efficient technology operations.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build and scale a high-performing IT team to support company growth.
  • Partner with Operations, Marketing, HR, and Finance to align IT initiatives with business objectives.
  • Establish IT governance and best practices for new club openings, acquisitions, and expansion strategies to ensure seamless operations.
  • Drive change management and user adoption of new technologies across all locations.
  • Manage IT budgets to support business growth while ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI on technology investments.

Enterprise Systems & Operational Efficiency

  • Standardize IT processes across existing and new locations to maintain consistency and compliance.
  • Assist in the selection and optimization of CRM, ERP, POS, and scheduling platforms to improve operations.
  • Lead automation efforts to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency in member onboarding, engagement, and retention.
  • Ensure real-time data visibility and reporting tools for leadership decision-making.
  • Proactively discover, experiment with, and understand emerging technologies and industry trends that help guide and inform our digital footprint and strategic opportunities.
  • Develop and drive a clear technology vision that supports and accelerates our business strategy and goals.

Member Experience & Engagement

  • Assist Operations and Marketing in the development of e-commerce platforms for membership sales, digital services, and upsell opportunities.
  • Utilize data analytics from different channels to optimize member engagement, marketing, and service

Scalability & IT Growth Strategy

  • Develop and implement an IT roadmap that ensures scalable infrastructure, standardized technology platforms, and operational efficiency as the company expands.
  • Lead enterprise system integrations, automation initiatives, and data centralization to support seamless multi-location operations.
  • Implement cloud-based solutions and SaaS technologies that allow for agile expansion into new markets.
  • Drive cost optimization strategies for IT assets while maintaining high-performance standards.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs, metrics, and service reports to drive operational improvements and meet business objectives.

Cybersecurity, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and risk management strategies to protect member data and company assets.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (PCI, GDPR, CCPA) and security standards.
  • Lead business continuity and disaster recovery planning to safeguard IT operations.
  • Strengthen security for digital payments, online transactions, and member authentication.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience: 10+ years in IT leadership, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role. Experience in the fitness, wellness, or hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Proven expertise in scaling IT operations for a rapidly growing multi-location business.
  • Experience in cloud computing, digital transformation, and enterprise system implementation.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity, compliance, and IT risk management in a consumer-facing industry.
  • Ability to drive data-driven decision-making through analytics and business intelligence platforms.
  • This position is based in San Antonio.
