We are seeking a Senior Sports and Talent Marketing Manager to serve as a vital liaison between WHOOP and our athlete and talent ambassadors. In this role, you will report to the Global Director of Sports and Talent Marketing and collaborate closely with the Sports Marketing Specialist. Your primary responsibility will be to nurture and maintain key relationships, helping to enhance WHOOP's brand awareness and credibility across global sports and marketing initiatives.

We are seeking a Senior Sports and Talent Marketing Manager to serve as a vital liaison between WHOOP and our athlete and talent ambassadors. In this role, you will report to the Global Director of Sports and Talent Marketing and collaborate closely with the Sports Marketing Specialist. Your primary responsibility will be to nurture and maintain key relationships, helping to enhance WHOOP's brand awareness and credibility across global sports and marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, own, and nurture deep, meaningful relationships with WHOOP athletes, talent, and their management teams, ensuring exceptional day-to-day client and partner management
- Provide top-tier support to agents, athletes, teams, and talent by arranging regular product deliveries, overseeing key social media deliverables, and maintaining authentic, long-term relationships
- Partner with Corporate Counsel to oversee the entire athlete contract lifecycle, from structuring and negotiating to finalizing and managing agreements
- Identify content opportunities and work closely with the social media team to tell compelling and authentic stories about the WHOOP brand through athlete and talent narratives
- Collaborate with the creative team and the Director of Brand Media to leverage the athlete and talent roster across various creative and media opportunities
- Create detailed briefs for creative, data analytics, and media teams to generate content, data stories, and copy for paid, owned, and earned media channels
- Work with country marketing managers to stay current on relevant athletes and talent partners across multiple sports and markets, identifying potential new partnership opportunities
- Maintain a detailed calendar of relevant events to share with the broader marketing team and utilize for key marketing moments across various channels.
- Travel to key events, leveraging partnerships to enhance the WHOOP presence and brand across various sports and industries
- Lead the management of system processes, learning existing structures and creating new tools to support effective cross-functional team communication and execution
- Collaborate closely with marketing operations, country managers, the brand team, and planning teams to identify and resolve issues affecting Sports and Talent operations, ensuring smooth execution
- Oversee and create all marketing, content and partner deliverables for athletes and talent relationships where you are point of contact
- Must have 5-8 years of experience in sports marketing, entertainment, partner management, or brand management at a global brand
- You are an experienced and thoughtful relationship manager, adept in managing high profile talent
- Deep passion for sports, fitness and the athletics space
- A strong understanding of relevant current and former athletes, musicians, celebrities, events, and industry trends
- An excellent communicator who can manage difficult conversations with ease
- Willingness to relevant events on a regular basis and work weekends as needed
- Highly proficient in communication, relationship management, and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of contractual structures, negotiation, and contract management from concept to signature
- Highly organized and experienced in managing cross-functional teams and management structures
- Entrepreneurial, enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or relevant experience
