Position Overview:
Solid Power is seeking a Program Manager to join our talented team working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of the next generation, all solid-state rechargeable batteries. Solid Power is a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative team environment. The Program Manager will act as the central resource and driving force for the product and manufacturing process development as well as managing the joint development activities with our partners. This is a critical position that will be essential to making Solid Power’s partnerships and product development a success.

The Program Manager will act as the central resource and driving force for the product and manufacturing process development as well as managing the joint development activities with our partners. This is a critical position that will be essential to making Solid Power’s partnerships and product development a success.
Job Duties:
- Execute complex, global programs within approved schedule, budget, and quality targets.
- Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of assigned programs both internally & externally.
- Manage and organize cross-functional activities ensuring program deliverables are completed on time, on budget in full.
- Regularly interact across function areas and with senior leadership team to ensure program objectives are met.
- Review product documentation and collateral to assure alignment between internal development and external messaging/strategy.
- Develop & maintain effective communication channels with joint development partners and all internal stakeholders.
- Support cross-functional team through the APQP development phases from inception to production.
- Drive phase-gate reviews and ensure program milestones are achieved.
- BS degree in engineering or technical field required. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of industry experience with 5+ years’ experience in a program management role with product development or manufacturing focus.
- Demonstrated planning and organizational skills with background and experience in project management principles, practices, and tools.
- Thorough understanding of product development process and phase gate methodology.
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of organization including C-level executives and technical staff.
- Proven ability to lead and influence thinking / gain acceptance of others at all levels of organization.
- Demonstrated cross functional team leadership and consensus building skills.
- Rapid learner who thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Comfortable holding colleagues accountable for their commitments.
- Able to work independently and be self-motivated with a sense of urgency and drive for results.
- Customer facing experience as a program manager preferred.
- Battery cell development and/or cell manufacturing experience preferred.
- Automotive industry experience (OEM / tier 1) with thorough APQP knowledge preferred.
- Product development experience with joint development partners preferred.
- Expert level of Microsoft Project and proficiency in MS Office Suite and SAP.
- PMP Certification or ability to obtain within 1-year of start date.
- Ability to travel internationally.
- Korean language proficiency preferred.
