ABOUT THE POSITION

Numi’s Senior Marketing Manager is a key leader in the marketing team, stewarding the integrated campaign strategy, brand storytelling, and omnichannel growth. This position will own the complete funnel, driving both consumer engagement across digital, DTC, retail, and experiential touchpoints. This role blends high-level strategic thinking with day-to-day execution and requires deep CPG experience—ideally in wellness, beverage, or natural products. This position displays strong management and team building skills. This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about wellness and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.


The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience scaling a startup or challenger brand
  • Have success in in e-commerce through continual performance efficiencies, while increasing LTV.
  • Be experienced in natural or premium retail (Whole Foods, Sprouts, Erewhon, etc.)
  • Possess a sense of urgency along with the ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.
  • Embrace newly assigned projects with enthusiasm and proactively seeks out other assignments as time permits.
  • Successfully work independently and as part of a team.


ABOUT YOU

  • 6–8+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in CPG or beverage (tea or wellness experience a strong plus).
  • 2-4 years of successful people management experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills in delivering meaningful, clear insights from sometimes complex data.
  • Track record in directly managing and growing a DTC channel.
  • Proven ability to lead brand-building initiatives and drive measurable business results.
  • Robust project management skills; able to prioritize, plan, and pivot with dexterity in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong communicator with both creative and analytical strengths
  • Creative solutions mindset with strong attention to details
  • Proficiency in Google, Klaviyo, and Shopify.
  • Passionate about wellness, sustainability, and mission-led brands
  • Highly collaborative, self-starter and team player.
  • Works well under pressure and able to juggle multiple projects and priorities.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office – including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand & Campaign Strategy

  • Oversee 360° marketing campaigns that build brand awareness, drive trial, and deepen loyalty.
  • Ensure that agency partners deliver best-in-class creative across social, email, web, and retail.
  • Track and report out KPIs measures for all campaigns.
  • Lead in response to any inbound PR request and manage future PR partner(s)- as needed.
  • Manage innovation pipeline and roll-outs; research trends, product voids and opportunities; work with founders.
  • Perform routine online consumer research to garner insights that inform strategy in all classes of trade.
  • Manage marketing budget & reporting to optimize efficiency and delivery.

Growth Marketing

  • Oversee digital marketing strategy including social media, email marketing, content marketing (SEO/SEM), influencer, partnerships and affiliate. Lead the social media manager, marketing coordinator and freelance/agency partner in delivery.
  • Manage e-commerce platform and online customer experience, partnering with agency and creative partners to continually optimize for engagement, conversion and LTV.
  • Analyze digital performance metrics and optimize campaigns to hit MER and CAC targets through higher performing campaigns.
  • Stay current with digital marketing trends and emerging platforms relevant to our target audience.
  • Manage online loyalty programs like subscription boxes and rewards programs.
  • Report out monthly DTC performance, including wins/opportunities in SKU performance, ads and email/SMS.
  • Manage primarily amazon & numitea.com.
  • Manage other ecommerce platforms: Vitacost.com, Walmart.com, Target.com, Iherb.com, Thrive.com, Faire.com.

Retail Marketing & Partnerships

  • Analyze monthly syndicated sales data to evaluate brand trends across major retailers and channels to surface, not only brand-specific performance, but also product, competitive and promotional trends.
  • Collaborate and support foodservice and retail sales teams with necessary marketing assets including pitch decks & trainings
  • Drive pull and velocity at retail via trial, awareness, influencer, social & vendor marketing programs
  • Integrate digital & retail strategies to optimize complete funnel purchase & product availability in different channels.
  • Manage shopper marketing, sampling, and brand ambassador programs.
  • Manage strategic partnerships w/ key industry partners
  • Manage tradeshows and attend 2-3/year

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor a social media manager, marketing & administrative coordinator and external partners (freelance, agencies).
  • Work closely with sales and operations teams to ensure a cohesive customer experience.
  • Align internal stakeholders around campaign calendars, launches, and reporting.
  • Report out to executive team brand health & metrics and contribute to high-level brand planning.
  • Foster a collaborative, results-driven team culture.

Base salary range: $120,000 - $140,000
