Gently is an innovation-driven, same-day fulfillment and delivery provider enabling e-commerce and retail brands to offer lightning-fast, cost-efficient and sustainable same-day delivery and returns. Since launch in April 2023 the company secured significant early stage funding, grew with over 50% M-o-M and closed partnerships with leading brands and retailers. As Gently enters its next phase of growth, we are looking to add a Senior Manager, Operations to our leadership team who can support the successful operational management of our rapid expansion while ensuring excellence in the execution of Gently’s ambitious vision.
Tasks
- In close partnership with the founding team, oversee and improve the day-to-day operations of the fullfillment center and last mile delivery with Gently's own fleet, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of orders, inventory management and deliveries
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics operations, which would include managing warehouse operations, developing SOPs, and collaborating with warehouse team and drivers
- Define, systematize and continously monitor performance indicator(KPIs) and operational metrics to drive operational excellance and culture of continues improvement and achieve agree-ed upon targets
- Identify opportunities to optimize costs, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency without compromising quality or service levels
- Implement cost control measures and monitor expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines
- Create presentations, financial models, and data/business intelligence dashboards for management reporting purposes
- Synthesize data insights to provide strategic recommendations across logistics operations and resource planning
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-5 years experience in consulting, data analytics, project management, or operations role with a demonstrated record of consistently exceptional performance
- Strong preference for candidates with previous logistics or operations experience at a leading logistic player or high growth venture with in-depth knowledge of fulfillment center and last mile delivery operations, inventory management and warehousing
- Flexibility with working schedule as the primary focus of the role is logistics operations which might include attending early/late shifts or drive alongs on routes
- Can-do attitude, roll-up-the sleeves mindset and entrepreneurial passion to be a key player on the ground floor of a category-defining venture
- "Ownership" mentality to drive outcomes and attend to issues whenever needed even if outside of office hours
