As the Senior Events Operations Manager, you will lead the end-to-end planning and execution of strategic, complex marketing events programs, including but not limited to, BetterUp’s tentpole portfolio, and regional executive engagement programs.This role requires exceptional leadership and operational expertise to manage cross-functional teams, key project milestones, event logistics and production, and leadership stakeholder coordination. With your strong project management skills, you will ensure the seamless delivery of events that elevate BetterUp’s brand visibility, foster executive-level engagement, and drive revenue growth for BetterUp. You’ll be responsible for aligning teams across the business, identifying potential roadblocks, and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Your ability to oversee multiple workstreams and navigate operational complexities with creativity and positivity will be critical to the success of BetterUp’s most high-impact events.

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.
The base salary range for this role is $115,000 – $198,000.
If you live in New York, the base salary range for this role is:
$132,000 – $198,000 : New York City
$115,000 – $173,000: Nassau, Newburgh

What You’ll Do
- Project Planning & Scope Definition: Lead the planning and scoping of events, defining goals, deliverables, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with key stakeholders. Establish clear milestones and work with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive project plans.
- Production Excellence: Ensure every event program is produced at the highest standard, delivering top-notch quality in all aspects—logistics, attendee experience, technology, and design. Oversee the flawless execution of all events to guarantee everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
- Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Lead and inspire cross-functional teams throughout the entire event lifecycle, ensuring collaboration across departments such as marketing, sales, and product to deliver cohesive, high-impact events that drive business outcomes.
- Continuous Process Improvement & Standardization: Analyze event portfolio performance and feedback to identify opportunities for optimization and overall process improvement. Ensure that every event is a step forward in increasing efficiency and enhancing overall event quality.
- Reporting & Documentation: Add rigor around tracking metrics, creating event reports, and maintaining clear documentation.
- Risk Mitigation & Problem Solving: Proactively identify risks and roadblocks in event planning and execution. Develop contingency plans and resolve any issues quickly to ensure successful outcomes, even in challenging circumstances.
- Relationship Building: Build and nurture relationships with commercial leadership, colleagues across marketing teams and other key stakeholders to enhance event portfolio quality and long-term, seamless collaboration.
- 7+ years of professional experience in strategic project or program management
- At least 3 years in the event marketing and B2B and/or SaaS space for large scale events (at least 1,000 attendees)
- Successful experience in delivering global-level events, from agency or in-house position
- Strong experience in project management tools such as Asana and Airtable, excel proficiency and project management tool integration abilities are a plus.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and solve problems in real-time to ensure seamless event execution
- A passion for brand marketing events and creating memorable experiences for attendees and stakeholders
- Excellent presentation and organizational skills; incredible ability to multitask.
