Position Summary

In this position, you'll serve as the public-facing leader of the Chamber's established Leadership Detroit program. As the leader, you'll develop relevant and compelling program content and speakers, generate sponsorship leads, cultivate relationships with leaders from business, government, media and philanthropy. You'll use your professionalism and strong communication skills to handle the all the aspects of this diverse and demanding job.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR DIRECTOR, LEADERSHIP, ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATION INITIAITIVES

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 10-15 years' experience in community relations, economic development, or relevant area
  • Experience creating content for programs or events that align with business, public policy, economic development
  • Must have existing relationships with seasoned leaders and up and coming leaders
  • Proven experience in cultivating relationships and creating "buy-in" among stakeholders and organizations
  • Excellent network building and multi-tasking skills needed

WORK SCHEDULE

This position is full-time and typically works Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. There are opportunities to work from home. Must have flexibility to attend early morning and later evening meeting and events.
