Under the direction of the Supervisor, VIBE, the Senior Audio-Visual Technician - VIBE provides advanced technical support and programming for atmospheric audio, visual, and lighting systems—including rotational sports programming in The 909. This role supports VIBE A/V Technicians in daily operations across Yaamava’ Resort and Casino, oversees training efforts, and acts as an extension of the VIBE Supervisor for day-to-day AV requests.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Programs, engineers, operates, and sets up a variety of A/V equipment—including, but not limited to, microphones, speakers, projectors, video screens, and video monitors.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to execute events on time and within budget. Supports the strategic direction of the VIBE Manager and Entertainment Department by contributing to operating procedures, organizational structure, and efficiency initiatives that provide maximum value to Yaamava’ Resort and Casino.
- Assists with the installation, rigging, troubleshooting, and programming of A/V systems across Yaamava’. Oversees equipment maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance procedures. Manages and maintains the A/V asset inventory system.
- Partners with Entertainment Department leadership to design and implement A/V technology solutions.
- Transports, sets up, removes, and operates A/V equipment for onsite and offsite meetings.
- Mentors and trains fellow A/V team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
- Associates degree required.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of direct audio-visual experience required, including hands-on work with video walls, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and LCD/Plasma displays required.
- Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.
- Communicate and interact professionally and promptly with internal employees, clients, and colleagues
- Proficiency with test and calibration equipment
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Programming capability in Mosaic and Resolume, including change implementation and troubleshooting
- Ability to diagnose complex system issues
- Advanced knowledge of signal flow across audio, video, and control systems
- Solid understanding of IP networking
- Proficient in cable termination (e.g., CAT6, XLR, DB9, RG6, SDI)
- Advanced PC proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, C++, and Python
- Excellent multitasking abilities with adaptability to shifting priorities
- Ability to work independently while ensuring deadlines are consistently met

- Able to climb and work from ladders up to 25 feet, including lifting equipment, tools, and materials
- At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
- Q-SYS Level 1 required. Q-SYS Level 2 preferred.
- Dante (Digital Audio Network Through Ethernet) Level 1 and Level 2 required.
- AVIXA (Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association) General Certification preferred.
- No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver’s license or insurance.

- Primary work environment is in a resort and casino setting inclusive of both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
- Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Strength sufficient to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Sedentary work: involves standing most of the time and may sit at times. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.
- Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.
- Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.
- Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
- Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
- The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
