In this role of Senior Agile Project Manager, vital to the ongoing guidance, management, and delivery of NB projects as contributing to the overall growth of our business. In this role, you will bring your skill set of project management and agile execution to these initiatives. In this role you will work on projects to execute a best fit methodology (agile ways of working through more traditional) while supporting the designated global NB strategy, best practices, and long-range goals. Working in cooperation with the vendor and various other program roles, you will manage the overall project efforts to ensure the successful delivery of critical initiatives.

In this role of Senior Agile Project Manager, vital to the ongoing guidance, management, and delivery of NB projects as contributing to the overall growth of our business. In this role, you will bring your skill set of project management and agile execution to these initiatives. In this role you will work on projects to execute a best fit methodology (agile ways of working through more traditional) while supporting the designated global NB strategy, best practices, and long-range goals. Working in cooperation with the vendor and various other program roles, you will manage the overall project efforts to ensure the successful delivery of critical initiatives.

- As needed, provide overall project management to projects / workstreams identified, and to do so, with infusing agile mindset/culture with the understanding we are looking to promote agility and flex the traditional model where possible. Execute to the standard NB IT PMO model.
- As needed, provide Scrum Master / coaching duties for facilitating our NB IT best in class agile practices / agile ways of working; execute to the standard NB IT PMO model
- Scheduling and facilitating necessary meetings and related action items
- Pursuing iterative process improvements and collaborative conversations
- Promoting consistent estimating practices for predictability and planning
- Working with outside vendors (if applicable) and internal New Balance teams to plan and manage the project activities, provide governance and oversight, provide status and other inputs to Business and IT stakeholders / Leadership
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and issues (and related mitigation plans); escalate in a clear and timely manner as appropriate
- Provide RAG state and status updates / slide decks for reviews and updates to the business / IT stakeholders
- Track project budget and Invoice spends, as needed
- Collaborate, participate, and contribute to collaborative NB IT PM/Agile center of excellence

- B.S. with 7+ years’ experience in a relevant technical field, including 3 + years’ experience as an Agile Project Manager (APM) in IT or similar field
- Understanding of agile culture, principles and scrum/kanban methodology; Scrum Master certification preferred
- Understanding of/hands-on experience with software development life cycle
- Exposure to one or more relevant domain areas such as product, merchandising, retail, marketing, manufacturing, or supply chain preferred
- Demonstrated influence without authority, Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and Willing to take a hands-on approach and help the team to drive success
