Hasbro’s Corporate Royalty Accounting group is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team! This role will report to the Manager of Accounting, Royalties. This is a dynamic, high-touch role in our team that is responsible for royalty entertainment revenue accounting, including participation and residual reporting, at our publicly traded, multi-billion-dollar global play and entertainment company. This role will be a key contributor to the royalty accounting process, specializing in revenue recognition, month-end close processes, account reconciliations and analyses with efficiency and accuracy.
This is a hybrid role and requires the ability to work onsite 3 days per week in our Pawtucket, RI office.

A day in the life of the Senior Accountant:
- Manage entertainment royalty revenue accounting program, including but not limited to accurate calculation and account classifications.
- Oversee the process of tracking and reporting participation and residual payments and guarantees statements to our third-party stakeholders.
- Partners with business operations, legal, and finance partners to ensure entertainment revenue accounting is aligned to business and operational needs.
- Implement continuous improvement and modernization efforts across processes including the utilization of AI.
- Partner with internal and external auditors to assist in their completion of audits.
- Build relationships and regular communication with operational leaders to provide direct and timely assistance on matters that have accounting and reporting implications.
- Complete ad hoc projects.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years public accounting experience and/or public company experience. Big 4 experience preferred.
- Must possess a strong knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. A comprehensive knowledge of ASC 606 and ASC 926 is preferred.
- Experience in reviewing and understanding contracts; knowledge of entertainment and licensing industry accounting preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and contribute efficiently and optimally in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Starting Pay Range: $82,700
- Pay Range End: $124,100
