Position Summary
The Scientific Analyst I supports execution of protocols, executes, documents and analyzes assigned multiple Laboratory tests in accordance with regulated laboratory testing techniques and Customer specifications.
What You'll Do as a Scientific Analyst I
Analyzes test results from multiple Laboratory testing areas, reports findings or conclusions and interpretation of data to scientists and management. 35 – 40% Initiates test result investigations for root cause, reports findings and implements corrections as assigned. 10 -20% Evaluates procedures and provides process improvement suggestions through execution of Document Change Order (DCO) procedure. 10 – 20% Assists in trending results for the Laboratory and Customers. 10 – 15% Supports the execution of study protocols or validations, both internal and external. 10 – 15% Reviews and approves Laboratory methods as technical designee. 5 – 10 % Supports the qualification of new testing and methods. Reads, interprets and records results of testing as requested.

The Experience, Skills, And Abilities Needed
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Science
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Laboratory
- 1-year experience authoring Document Change Orders preferred.
- Must have a demonstrated understanding of test method validations.
- Must have strong knowledge of the standards requirements.
- Must have extensive knowledge of laboratory testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum Intermediate level on Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work under control in pressure situations and adapt rapidly to change.
- Ability to read and interpret rules, schedules, procedures and instructions.
- Intermediate math skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
