Tacoma Screw Products is a distribution company that has been supplying industrial supplies, fasteners, and tools to contractors, businessesboth small and largeand individual retail customers since 1946.

Were looking for a detail-oriented and resourceful Sales Order Process Specialist to support our sales team and ensure our customers receive the right products on time. In this role, youll be the go-to problem solver for order issueshelping troubleshoot, correct, and streamline the sales order process from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in making sure customers get exactly what they need when they need it.

  • Assisting the Outside Sales team with order preparation and emergency order entry
    • Examples: converting quotes, cancelling lines on orders, etc.
  • Troubleshooting order entry issues, such as incorrect warehouses, transfers, or stocking problems.
  • Researching inventory availability, transfer/packaging status, and due dates.
  • Guiding Sales team members on system navigation, including product and order inquiries, stock checks, and quoting.
  • Handling large or complex quotes, will-call orders, order cancellations, and transfer sourcing.
  • Providing timely updates on order status to ensure excellent customer service.
Required Experience

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Current employee of Tacoma Screw Products, Inc. in good standing.
  • Communication: Strong verbal/written skills. Strong focus on Customer Service.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SX. e, and ability to learn new computer and software systems.
  • Organization: Ability to collaborate, manage conflicting priorities, and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Teamwork & Independence: Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Self-Motivation: A proactive and customer-focused mindset

Benefits

Compensation & Schedule:

  • Full-Time: 40 hours per week, in-person.
  • Pay Range: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
  • Annual Bonus: Discretionary year-end bonus
