Sales and Marketing Student Intern

This position supports the ChemPoint Commercial Team in the areas of specials projects assigned by local leadership. This role will primarily deal with matters related to Chempoint’s daily operations although the candidate may also be assigned projects on a case-to-case base as needed.

What You'll Do

• The intern role will work closely with ChemPoint Commercial team to pull and analyze data into workable prospecting files.
• Develop and qualify new leads via internet research.
• Identify multiple prospect contacts (high, deep and wide) at former customers, current house accounts and new prospect accounts.
• Learn and use CRM to record information gained on customer process/needs
• Gaining real world experience in a professional setting
• Attend office meeting with leadership on an as needed basis
• Exposure to the chemical distribution industry with a leading company
• Support the sales teams with special projects
• Contribute ideas to improve processes and the customer experience
• Document the lead generation process.
  
  
  

What You'll Need

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to learn by working through new tasks with support from the team
• Some project management skills with the ability to prioritize in a changing environment.
• Professional oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Cross functional team collaboration
• Willing to take direction and ask questions
• Leadership skills.
• Student should be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from a fully accredited four year institution. Juniors and seniors preferred.

Pay And Benefits

The salary for this position is $20.00 per hour. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
