This PRN Forensic Nurse position involves performing examinations for individuals affected by sexual assault or violence, providing patient care, evidence collection, and referrals.
- Responsibilities include taking medical histories, assessing psychological and physical health, collecting and preserving evidence, treating injuries, and offering victim advocacy and court testimony support.
- Requires RN licensure, completion of specialized forensic training, and at least 1 year of RN experience, with pediatric training preferred.
- Must hold BLS certification and live within 60 minutes of the facility.
- The role involves on-call duties totaling 90-120 hours per schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
