Research and Policy Associate

The Research and Policy Associate is dedicated as a shared resource to middle- and senior-level managers and all internal departments. The Research and Policy Associate is responsible for both substantive tasks, such as analyzing policy proposals, detecting trends in state legislation, and writing professional memos and reports as well as more meticulous, though repetitive assignments. Administrative work, including data entry, proofreading work products, scheduling, and formatting is also an anticipated responsibility of the role. The position is utilized as a floating role easily, and promptly, moving from performing long-term requests to completing high-priority, time sensitive requests. The Research and Policy Associates provides bandwidth on internal and external Stateside deliverables, large and small.

Essential Duties Of Position

• Complete generalized research requests on a variety of policy and appropriations issues
• Assist in coordination of projects including managing internal communications and milestones
• Execute quality control procedures on Stateside's regulatory and legislative monitoring product
• Run reports from internal and external databases
• Take notes on relevant issues during various virtual hearings and meetings
• Format and edit internal and external deliverables including reports and memorandums in various file formats
• Other duties as assigned
