Research Analyst

POLITICO is seeking a Research Analyst to support consumer strategy, product development, editorial initiatives, and advertiser research across the organization. This role is part of the Research and Insights team and will report directly to the Senior Research Manager, who leads research initiatives at POLITICO.

The Research Analyst will be responsible for scoping, developing, executing, and reporting on brand lift studies and other primary research projects. These efforts will drive business development, product innovation, and market intelligence by providing valuable insights into advertiser effectiveness, reader preferences and consumption habits, and industry trends. We seek a motivated self-starter who can consistently deliver high-quality research to teams and clients across POLITICO.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in scoping, designing and developing survey projects to align with research objectives.
• Draft/create survey instruments (e.g., questionnaires and discussion guides).
• Support and monitor data collection processes, ensuring high-quality and reliable data.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify key patterns and develop actionable insights.
• Develop client-facing presentations to effectively communicate research findings.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution of research projects.
• Assist in managing engagement with POLITICO's proprietary influencer research panel.
• Maintain and improve research resources across teams.
  
  

What You’ll Need

• 1+ years of professional and/or internship experience with primary research methodologies.
• Proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data visualizations).
• Proficiency in PowerPoint to present data clearly and effectively.
• Familiarity with research tools such as Qualtrics and SPSS strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of online advertising operations is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present structured information clearly and tailor messages to stakeholders.
