Job Overview

Nickel City Property Management LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Renovation Lead to take ownership of residential remodeling projects throughout Buffalo and surrounding areas. This leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has expertise across multiple trades, and can lead a crew to deliver high-quality renovations efficiently and professionally. The Renovation Lead will be the point person for full-unit rehabs, turnovers, and property upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead renovation projects from start to finish, including full-unit rehabs, kitchen/bath remodels, flooring replacements, and painting.
• Supervise and mentor a small renovation crew, ensuring quality control and timely project completion.
• Work hands-on in multiple trades including carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, windows/doors, and basic plumbing/electrical.
• Coordinate material pickups and ensure tools/supplies are ready and available for all job sites.
• Communicate effectively with property managers, vendors, and tenants when needed.
• Use smartphone apps to manage schedules, report project progress, and enter job details daily.
• Flex work schedule as needed for project deadlines, including occasional weekend or after-hours efforts.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of residential remodeling or renovation experience.
• Strong leadership skills with experience directing small teams on-site.
• Broad expertise in multiple trade areas (general handyman skills).
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license; ability to transport tools and materials.
• Ability to operate, learn and use basic computer software as well as Property Management software as part of daily duties.
• Must live within 30 minutes of Buffalo, NY.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must own essential tools for general construction tasks.
• Proficiency with smartphones for job tracking and communication.
• Ability to work independently and lead projects with minimal supervision.

Schedule

• Full-Time: Monday to Friday (approx. 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Occasional after-hours or weekend work based on project needs
