Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Sr. IT Project Manager to lead and manage a portfolio of medium to large-scale projects, driving cross-functional teams through each phase of the project lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and implementation. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, all while navigating the complexities of the casino gaming and IT landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and uphold comprehensive project management plans that adhere to industry best practices.
• Supervise all project phases, ensuring that timelines, financial constraints, and project deliverables are consistently met.
• Assign tasks based on team members' competencies to facilitate optimal workflow.
• Establish and maintain essential project documentation and deliverables.
• Adapt project plans and timelines to reflect changing business requirements and financial considerations.
• Serve as the primary liaison among internal teams (operations, compliance, IT) and external partners, guaranteeing project alignment.
• Drive effective communication with stakeholders, clarifying goals, progress updates, risks, and actionable items.
• Host project meetings, resolve disputes, and cultivate positive relationships with project sponsors and team members.
• Proactively identify and manage risks and issues, while ensuring adherence to gaming regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain comprehensive logs for risks, issues, decisions, and actions (RIDA).
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all regulatory mandates are fulfilled.
• Mediate and mitigate challenges that may hinder project advancement.
• Oversee the integration of IT systems with operational frameworks, ensuring compliance with functionality, security, and quality standards.
• Lead system testing initiatives to confirm adherence to quality benchmarks prior to deployment.
• Facilitate system handovers, preparing end-users through training and ongoing support.
• Manage project budgets, meticulously tracking expenditures against projections and adjusting as necessary to achieve financial objectives.
• Develop resource budget requests and oversee vendor contracts, staffing needs, and team assignments.
• Regularly monitor resource allocation and conduct quality assessments, escalating scope, budget, or timeline issues as necessary.
• Track project progress, proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective measures.
• Generate and present regular status updates to executive management and stakeholders, underscoring scope, milestones, budget, risks, and critical concerns.
• Ensure successful project completion, prioritizing stakeholder satisfaction.
• Inspire and lead project teams, nurturing a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to document lessons learned and identify areas for enhancement.
• Utilize past project experiences to foresee challenges and promote innovative solutions.
  
  

Required Skills

• A minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in the casino gaming sector and 4 years managing IT projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of casino gaming systems and IT infrastructure, including Slot management systems, Cage operations, Table game systems, payment processing, loyalty programs, and online gaming platforms.
• Proven success in managing significant upgrades of casino and gaming systems across an enterprise.
• PMP certification or equivalent industry-recognized certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, with familiarity in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Expertise in budget management, risk assessment, and team oversight.
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, blending analytical and creative thinking.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management abilities.
• Capability to collaborate effectively across various organizational levels, gaining buy-in from management, clients, and departments.
• Adaptable to shifting priorities and demands, demonstrating comfort in navigating ambiguity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Familiarity with gaming regulatory compliance and Gaming Control Board regulations is a plus.
